In 2006 nearly exactly a year after the
origional Circle Line Challenge Adam Edwards, Mickey Hill, Peter Hill
and Adam Thoroughgood thought they would give it another crack. Feeling
very confident after having already completed this challenge the previous
year they brought along some friends. Joining them this year was Stewart
Grant, Dan Lane, Graeme Simpson, Daniel Edwards, Dan Hewitt, Lee Bass,
Alun Thomas and Rory Seddon. Making a group of 12 in total. This year
proved to be a lot more difficult than the origional though. In 2005
the boys went out on a weekday. This year the challenge was attempted
on a Saturday. This proved to be a big mistake. It turned out that a
lot of pubs in London are closed on a Saturday morning/afternoon and
only open for the evening. So we had to skip some stops and have a pint
instead of a half at the next stop to catch up. The very first pub at
Embankment was closed so here we brought some cans from a shop and drunk
on the street. We had a spare can which Alun Thomas kindly gave to a
homeless man outside the station. Today the boys decided to bring their
own lunch with them. An old school style lunch. They each had packed
there own lunchbox with triangle sandwiches, frubes etc.. Mickey Hill
later decided he had enough of carrying his so he throw it on a tube
at one of the stops. This caused a passenger to pull the alarm as they
thought it could be a bomb. The misunderstanding was soon cleared up.
Yes Pete was sick again but this time he wasn't the only one, he was
joined by Alun Thomas. The challenge was completed. No official write
up of this one though as things are very confusing with the amount of
people and skipping and doubling up stops. However you can view a PDF
of the official "Circle Line Challenge II" barcrawl book and
