So the boys had visited all 27 stations on the circle
line and had a drink at each one. To make sure the challenge is
done properly, you should really complete the circle by visiting
the starting station for a second time and have one more final drink.
That was the plan. Unfortunatly we arrived back to The Princess
Of Wales at Embankment station just after 11pm, and the pub was
just closing. Then things got a bit confusing, somehow the group
of six got split into three groups of two. Adam Edwards and Mickey
Hill got on a train and headed home, Simon Collins and James North
tried to do the same but Simon manged to get on the wrong train
and he ended, in a place he thought was Maidstone. So he phoned
his dad in the early hours of the morning and asked if he could
be picked up. His dad spent a couple of hours driving round Maidstone
looking for him, it was then Simon realised he was actually in Lewisham
and not Maidstone at all, and had to get a £60 pound taxi
home! Meanwhile Adam Thoroughgood and Peter Hill were really determined
to get that final drink at Embankment station, they thought their
best bet would be to walk to Leicester square. They tried numerous
pubs but had no luck, they pleaded with some shop owners to find
any alcoholic drink from anyway that they could sale, but got the
same answer all the time, "No alcohol to be served after 11pm".
After walking round for nearly an hour they realised the only way
to get their final drink was to pay to get into a club. The cheapest
they could find was £8 pound entry. So that had to do.
